On August 9, 2022, CREC completed the world's first rare earth permanent magnet maglev rail transit project test line, the "Red Rail", in Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province.

The total length of the main line is about 800 meters, all of which are elevated lines. The single-track design is adopted, and the double-track and long-term operation conditions are reserved. The rare earth permanent magnetic levitation rail transit system realizes the perfect combination of permanent magnetic levitation technology and air rail technology. It is a new magnetic levitation technology route after electromagnetic levitation and superconducting maglev. It is another major achievement in the application of rare earth materials and the research of permanent magnetic levitated rail systems. It has completely independent intellectual property rights in China.

CREC has provided comprehensive solutions for the survey and design, equipment manufacturing, engineering construction and operation and maintenance of the "Red Rail" project.
