On July 12, Fortune magazine released the 2022 list of top 500 Chinese companies on its official mobile phone application Fortune Plus. China Railway Group Limited (CREC) ranked fifth on the list that evaluates the business performance and achievements of world’s largest listed Chinese companies over the past year.

　　In 2021, main economic indicators of the CREC bucked the trend and registered impressive increases. The value of new contracts signed last year was 2,729.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 4.75 percent. The total operating revenue increased 10.11 percent year-on-year and reached 1,073.28 billion yuan, exceeding the mark of 1 trillion yuan for the first time. The profit of the company amounted to 37.59 billion yuan, 12.59 percent higher than last year. The value of total assets added up to 1,361.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.47 percent. All the indicators hit record highs.
