On July 5, Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) Maternity & Newborn Hospital was officially opened, and Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania, attended the inauguration ceremony. China Railway Construction Engineering Group (CRCEG) participated in the construction of the hospital.

　　The CCRBT Maternity & Newborn Hospital, located in Dar es Salaam, is equipped with modern operating rooms as well as five outpatient rooms. The hospital is expected to provide services to 300 pregnant women a day with 174 beds and eight private delivery rooms. Based on its former Eye Department and the newly-built Maternity & Newborn Hospital, the CCBRT is now the African country’s largest hospital for provision of maternity and child care.

　　The CRCEG is responsible for the hospital’s indoor decoration, equipment installation and external works. Adhering to the principles of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith and the concept of pursuing the greater good and shared interests, the engineers of the company worked hard in the construction, with an aim to build an excellent medical facility for locals. During the construction of the hospital, the CRECG created around 240 jobs for local people.
