On July 18, the load testing of the Lyvzhijiang Bridge on the Yuxi-Chuxiong Highway in Yunnan Province was completed successfully, laying a solid foundation for the opening of the bridge. The Lyvzhijiang Bridge was invested by China Railway Development & Investment Co., Ltd., and was built by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group.

　　Stretching 798 meters in total, the Lyvzhijiang Bridge holds multiple world records. It is the world’s single-tower single-span suspension bridge with the longest span (780 meters), the world’s first single-tower single-span steel box girder suspension bridge, and the world’s suspension bridge with the largest tunnel-type anchorage (54 degrees). The bridge deck is a two-way four-lane highway with the design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The ends of the bridge are both connected with tunnels. The load testing proved that all the data were in the design range.
