China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Co., Ltd. has successfully developed an electrically-driven 900-ton wheeled lifting machine, the first of its kind in China.
Lifting machine is a large-scale equipment for railway construction. It is mainly used for carrying box girders in girder fabrication yards. The drive system for the newly-developed lifting machine is completely domestically developed, which has enabled railway transporters used in China to end dependence on imported hydraulic parts, symbolizing that a throat-cutting problem has been solved. Boasting innovative design, the new machine features a highly-efficient transmission system. Compared with traditional 900-ton girder cranes, it directly saves 30 percent of fuel consumption, and 25 percent of usage of tires. It also lowers the weight of the entire equipment and makes it smarter and more carbon friendly.
