China's First Homegrown Intelligent Maintenance Robot for Rail Transit Unveiled at China Railway Southwest Research Institute

Recently, the "intelligent maintenance robot" for the "smart assembling plus smart anchoring" series independently developed by China Railway Southwest Research Institute, was officially unveiled, becoming China's first mobile intelligent maintenance robot to serve rail transit.
The robot features automatic route identification, free movement, precise control and efficient operation. The positioning accuracy of the system reaches 2mm, allowing for precise control of angle and depth of anchor holes, and a 30 percent increase in production efficiency. In addition, the system is fully automated and unmanned, which has effectively reduced safety risks, and helped resolve risks in traditional construction processes, such as the cross operation between mechanical arms and workers, and the workers' climbing and looking-up operation.
