China Railway Construction Engineering Group recently finished the construction of platform awnings for Zhengzhou South Station. The fabricated concrete lamella-structure platform awnings filled a gap in the building of railway station in China.

　　Built on both the northern and southern ends of the railway station, the platform awnings cover a total construction area of around 66,420 square meters. Each of them covers 98.1 meters of the rail in length, measures 370 meters in width, and has 17 arch spans. The awnings are fair-faced concrete structures. The concrete placement needed no other decorations and generated no dust or industrial waste. While reducing the cost for long-term maintenance, it is in line with the philosophy of high-quality development in the new era, which values safety, beauty and eco-friendliness.
