The installation of China’s first subway BeiDou satellite navigation system began along the Beijing Capital International Airport Subway Express on March 20. Urban Railway Company of CREC Electrification Bureau participated in the installation project, which is the largest indoor navigation and positioning system in China. 

　　Designed and constructed by the CREC Electrification Bureau, the project is expected to be completed by the year end. The system will cover a subway express of 30 kilometers and its five stations. It will increase the positioning accuracy to above 2 meters in the underground space. Apart from functions of vehicle scheduling, passenger transport and emergency response, the system will navigate passengers in a complicated subway station via three-dimensional positioning on their phones.
