Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
“Guizhou, Keeping Pace with the World,” a communication event on the building of UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet), the study of wetland protection and the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, kicked off on June 25. It was organized by the southwest China branch of the China Railway Real Estate Group, a subsidiary of CREC.
Shahbaz Khan, director of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Beijing, which is responsible for UNESCO’s projects and work in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Japan, Mongolia, China and the Republic of Korea, attended the event. The delegation visited the company’s projects in Guiyang and learned about its contribution to the study of wetland protection, ecological restoration, and the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.

China Railway Real Estate Group follows the concept of “bringing mountains and water to cities,” respects the original geographical conditions to the utmost extent, and works to restore the ecology of wetlands, aiming to contribute to ecological progress of the city by making its project a learning base for the UNESCO’s wetland protection study.
The UNESCO ASPnet is a global network of more than 10,000 schools across the world committed to promoting intangible cultural heritage education. Its Guiyang project in collaboration with CREC is aimed to discover intangible cultural heritage items hidden in rural areas and among the people and promote them to cities and even the world, so that urban youth and teenagers will be able to know, love, promote, and carry on intangible cultural heritages of Guizhou.
