FORTUNEChina.com recently released the 2021 Fortune China 500 list which measured the performance of the biggest listed Chinese companies in 2020. CREC ranked 5th on the list, moving up one place from last year. 

In 2020, the major economic indicators of CREC kept increasing despite disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The value of newly signed contracts in the last year was 2605.66 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.36 percent, the gross revenue of the company was 974.75 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 14.56 percent, and its profits came to 33.383 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.55 percent. With many of its major economic indicators reaching a record high, CREC was listed among the top 50 of the Fortune Global 500 for the first time, and was listed by Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine as the world’s second largest construction contractor. According to the recent evaluation result of the operation performances of central SOE executives in 2020 released by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council, CREC was rated as a Grade-A enterprise for the eighth consecutive year.
