On July 20, the construction of China’s first demonstration line of suspension railway and the supporting facilities of the Optics Valley Ecological Corridor in Wuhan was started, marking that the project of special lines of the suspension-railway tourism was officially launched. China Railway Baoji Bridge Group (CRBBG) undertakes the designing, manufacturing and assembly of 33 sets of railway turnouts as well as the manufacturing and assembly of rails, bridges and bridge towers along the line. This is the third project of urban rail transportation contracted by the CRBBG this year, following the rerouting and upgrading of the light rail in Qujiang District of Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, and a test maglev line in Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province.

The suspension railway project in the Optics Valley of Wuhan is another breakthrough of CRBBG in the field of new system of rail transportation, with a record set in the scale of a single project. With independent intellectual property rights in design and manufacturing, the project leads the nation in design, which is of great significance to consolidating CRBBG’s leading role in the industry of urban rail transportation.
