CREG's Shield Machines Exported to Portugal and Operated in Austria for the First Time

Recently, the “China Railway 1034” EPB shield machine developed by China Railway Engineering Group (CREG) successfully passed customer acceptance, and will be applied to the drainage tunnel project under construction in Lisbon, Portugal. This is the first time for China's shield machines to be exported to Portugal.
The “China Railway 1071” hard-rock tunnel header developed by CREG recently started operation in the diversion tunnel project of Kuehtai Hydropower Station in Austria. With a diameter of 4.23 meters, the machine is designed in accordance with CE standard and equipped with a number of innovative functions, which greatly improves its safety and adaptability.
Up to now, CREG has exported 19 shield machines/TBMs to Europe, which are widely used in railway, highway, subway, water conservancy and other engineering construction projects. The company has become the Chinese tunnel header supplier with the largest number of exported machines and the most extensive application in the European market.
