Construction of Jingzhou Libu Yangtze River Highway-Rail Bridge, which was surveyed and designed by China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance Design Institute, officially began on February 28.

Jingzhou Libu Yangtze River Highway-Rail Bridge, divided into upper and lower levels, is a cable-stayed suspension bridge with steel truss girders and a main span of 1,120 meters. It is the world’s first steel truss bridge to have a central span exceeding 1,000 meters, longer than that of any other road-rail double-deck bridge in the world.
