A CREC1077 hard rock tunnel boring machine (TBM) rolled off the production line in Chengdu on August 28. Jointly developed by the China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and China Railway Tunnel Group, the TBM is the second of its kind dedicated to serving the road and rail constructions on frigid Qinghai-Tibet Plateau after the first such TBM was unveiled on June 16.
CREC1077 hard rock tunnel boring machine features a cutting disc with a diameter of 10.33 meters, as well as a total length of 185 meters, excluding the supporting track.
