In 2013, the Jiaozhou Bay Bridge won the George S. Richardson Medal and was listed among the “World’s Most Amazing Bridges” by the U.S.-based Forbes magazine.

The Jiaozhou Bay Bridge is a cross-sea bridge that links Huangdao, Chengyang and Licang districts as well as Jiaozhou in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. With a total length of 36.48 kilometers, it was the world’s longest cross-sea bridge when it was first completed. It is also the first ultra-large bridge in freezable sea area in northern China.
