Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
In 2020, the Hålogaland Bridge was awarded the OStrA by the IABSE.
The bridge spans the Rombaken fjord in the coastal city of Narvik in northern Norway, about 200 kilometers north to the Arctic Circle. This steel box girder suspension bridge features an irregular main cable design. It is 1,533 meters long in total, including a 1,145-meter-long main span. All steel box girders of the bridge were built by China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group Co., Ltd. The bridge’s coating system has reached the world’s highest standards in two aspects: Sa3-level sandblasting and less than 20mg/m3 salt content after sandblasting.
