The inauguration ceremony of the Indonesian regional headquarters of CREC was held recently in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia. The organization will serve as the supervisor of CREC’s business in Indonesia, an entity responsible for market development, an operation platform for major projects, a sharing platform for CREC’s secondary units in the region, the organizer of economic operation in the region and the office managing Indonesia-related affairs. It will perform the functions of leadership, organization and coordination, business management, operation and development, performance management, compliance risk management and tax planning on behalf of China Railway in Indonesia.

At present, CREC has nearly 1,000 Chinese employees alongside more than 4,000 local employees in Indonesia. The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway project in Indonesia is the company’s first exemplary project to implement localization of the full system, all business elements and the whole industrial chain.
