Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
The ground-breaking ceremony for the Sunkoshi-Marin Diversion Multipurpose Project in Nepal was held recently in Sindhuli, a district in Nepal’s Province 3. It is the second Nepal’s National Pride Project China Railway No.2 Engineering Group and China Overseas Engineering Group undertook following the two companies’ successful cooperation on the Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project. After its completion, the project will divert water from Sunkoshi River to Marin River through a 13.3-km tunnel. It will irrigate 122,000 hectares of farmland for the second and third provinces of Nepal. The water will also be used for hydroelectricity with a generating capacity of 28 MW.(By Hu Tianran, Cao Duanrong and Zhou Kefeng)
