Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
The world’s longest steel-concrete composite cable-stayed bridge, the Chibi Yangtze River Bridge, completed closure in central China’s Hubei Province on March 16. The bridge was designed by China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance & Design Institute Co., Ltd. and constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd.

The main body of the bridge is 1,380 meters long, with a main span of 720 meters. The two-way expressway on the bridge has six lanes and a designed vehicle speed of 100 kilometers per hour. After its completion, the bridge will seamlessly align transportation systems in Honghu and Chibi with China’s national transportation network.(Photos: Li Xiang, Luo Gang, Zhang Jing, Ma Haibin and Zhou Li)
