After discussions and evaluation, the expert panel organized by Hubei Technology Exchange concluded on March 10 that the “research and application of multi-point support horizontal rotation construction technology for bridges” achieved by Wuhan Branch of China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance Design Institute Co., Ltd. has reached international advanced level.
The main bridge on Changqing Road in Wuhan successfully rotates to targeted position.
Featuring good stability of rotation, high degree of automation, high reliability, accurate positioning and one-touch operation, the technology represents advancement in bridge construction and is expected to generate great economic and social benefits. The expert panel unanimously agreed that the research further opens up ideas for bridge engineering, fills a gap in bridge rotation construction both at home and abroad, and is of great significance to upgrading bridge rotation technology and improving the level of bridge construction.
