Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
On February 14, the groundbreaking ceremony for improvement of a 51-kilometer road was held in Dembi Dolo City, Ethiopia. The road improvement project is undertaken by the Overseas Company of China Railway Seventh Group.
The road starts at Dembi Dolo City and stretches 50.9 kilometers long. Constructors of the project will replace the red dirt road with an asphalt concrete pavement, and the work is expected to be finished in 42 months. When completed, the upgraded road will significantly facilitate transportation of local resources and improve investment environment, better connecting the city with the rest of Ethiopia and even the neighboring countries.
At present, three projects contracted by the Overseas Company of China Railway Seventh Group are under construction in the Gambela Region of Ethiopia. (By Liu Lihan and Wang Shuo)
