Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8 bound for Nairobi crashed minutes after takeoff on March 10th near Bishoftu, south of Addis Ababa, killing all 157 people on board, including 8 Chinese citizens.
CREC subsidiary---China Railway Seventh Group (CRSG) Ethiopian branch, working on a road project nearby, mobilized 20 people and several equipment machineries, including two excavators, one loader, three pallet trucks and 4 pickup trucks etc., immediately after we got the news from the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia. Arriving at the scene at 3:30 p.m., our rescue team led by the head of the branch company, WANG Guanghui, was fully engaged in the rescue work together with Ethiopian Airlines.

WANG said, “When we arrived at the site, we saw a crater on the farm land gouged by the plane. The plane splashed to debris, we can hardly find out bigger wreckage.”
Till 7:45 p.m., the wreckage of the engine and wing has been dug out, but the nose was buried deep underground. “As a responsible multinational company,” said Wang to CCTV reporter, “We will try our best and keep on working, until we dig out the nose and the black box.”

After one-day-and-two-nights hard work, our rescue team finally found the black box of the crashing plan at about 20 meters deep under the ground.
