Recently, the 16th Tien-yow Jeme Railway Science and Technology Award Presentation Conference was held in Beijing. Wan Gang, Chairman of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology; Zhang Yuzhuo, Vice-Chairman in charge of daily work and First Secretary of the Secretariat, Liu Zhenfang, Chairman of the China State Railway Group, and Chen Yun, Chairman of CREC, attended the meeting and presented awards to the winners. Qian Ming, Vice General Manager of China State Railway Group, and Chairman of Zhan Tianyou Science and Technology Development Foundation, presided over the award ceremony. CREC has two teams and six individuals won the prize.

Five innovative teams were selected for the Tien-yow Jeme Railway Science and Technology Award. At the same time, three top prizes, 33 achievement prizes and 60 youth prizes were selected. CREC High-speed Railway Long-span Bridge Innovation Team and Sichuan-Tibet Railway Survey and Design Technical Standard Innovation Team won the Innovation Team Award, China Railway Electrification Engineering Group Dou Baoxin and China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Wan Tianbao won the Achievement Award, and China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Liu Zhiru, China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group Chen Ping, China Railway Seventh Group Guo Feng and China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Zheng Qinggang won the Youth Award.

Tien-yow Jeme Railway Science and Technology Award is a science and technology award approved and registered by the National Science and Technology Award Office. It is an authoritative science and technology award in the railway industry and rail transit field. It aims to commend and reward scientific and technological personnel who have made outstanding contributions to railway science and technology and to promote scientific and technological innovation and the growth of exceptional talents.
