On April 22, the medical device industrial park project as part of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, contracted by China Railway Seventh Group Co., Ltd., entered the final stage of construction.

The demonstration zone was inaugurated on June 29, 2020. According to plans, a number of specialized industrial parks will be built in the zone to strengthen industrial chain cooperation between China and South Korea in fields such as new energy vehicles, pharmaceuticals, food, and 5G.

Construction of the medical device industrial park, undertaken by China Railway Seventh Group, began in September 2020. The project covers a total floor space of about 269,400 square meters and consists of 20 single buildings. To the date, six main structures have been completed, totaling 190,000 square meters and accounting for 68 percent of the overall construction task. According to plans, all the main structures are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021 and delivered in May 2022.
