The Liaohe River Bridge on the Binhai Highway in Liaoning Province is a cable-stayed bridge with double towers and double cable planes. With a total length of 866 meters, a main span of 436 meters and an approximate weight of 15,000 tons, the bridge had the largest span in the north the Yangtze River. It is the first steel box girder cable-stayed bridge in Northeast China and the first large-span steel box girder bridge in China's alpine region.
