With a total length of 18 kilometers, Qinling Tunnel of Xi'an-Ankang Railway started in 1995 and completed in 2005, at which time it was the longest railway tunnel in China and the second longest in Asia. Our company independently built approximately 60% of the whole tunnel. The tunnel boring machine was used for the first time in construction. It won the Luban Award for Construction Engineering, the Zhan Tianyou Award for Civil Engineering and the First Prize for National Science and Technology Progress.
