Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
Shantou Bay Bridge is connected to Shenzhen-Shantou Expressway in the south and Lianyu Expressway in the north. As the first modern suspension bridge in China, it has a total length of 2,400 meters and a main span of 452 meters, which started in 1992 and completed in 1995. CREC independently built all the design and construction tasks of the bridge, and it won the Luban Award for Construction Project, the National Quality Engineering Gold Award and the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
