The Second United Nations Global Sustainable Transport Conference was held in Beijing on October 14. President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony via video link and delivered the keynote speech titled “Staying Connected with the World and Abreast with the Times and Making Big Strides on the Path of Sustainable Development.” Chen Wenjian, president of CREC, attended the opening ceremony and listened to the speech.

　　Chen Wenjian accepted an interview with China Central Television (CCTV) during the conference. “President Xi Jinping stressed the significance of achieving goals of sustainable transport from the perspective of building a global community of development with a shared future,” said Chen. He said that the speech pointed the way forward for the sustainable development of global transport and injected new momentum. Meanwhile, he said, President Xi mentioned the projects participated by CREC, which made the group very proud. “We will stay committed to the building of the Belt and Road Initiative. We will strive to develop the company into a leading construction group in the world and make contribution to building a promising global transport network of connectivity and mutual benefit.”
