On April 10, with the last unit of the "triple arch" steel structure roof sliding in place, the steel structure construction of the Nanchang East Railway Station building project contracted by China Railway Construction Engineering Group was formally completed. This is the first railway station building project in China to adopt the technology of synchronous sliding of triple arch roof steel structure.
Nanchang East Railway Station is the starting station of the new high-speed railway from Nanchang to Huangshan via Jingdezhen, with a total construction area of 223,500 square meters, of which the station building area is 100,000 square meters, and the station yard scale is 8 sets and 16 lines. The design concept of the station is "rosy clouds flying together, auspicious blooming", and the roof is composed of 14 steel trusses.
The project has a tight schedule and heavy tasks. The project team overcame the impact of the rainy season and completed 1.4 million cubic meters of earthwork excavation and 5,152 pile foundation construction in only five months. Faced with the test of the strongest high temperature since 1961, completed the concrete pouring of the bottom slab in only 60 days.
It is reported that Nanchang East Railway Station will be completed and put into operation by the end of this year.
